Variety Cruises is to takes Its “Go Deeper” philosophy to the Adriatic

Family-owned small-ship cruise line launches a seven-night Croatia and Montenegro itinerary aboard 34-guest M/Y Callisto
Variety Cruises is taking its “Go Deeper” philosophy to the Adriatic with a new Croatia and Montenegro itinerary.
The family-owned cruise line has pioneered small-ship cruising in Greece for more than 75 years.
The new seven-night voyage begins on 30 April 2027, with prices starting at £1,600 per person.
Croatia Island-Hopping and Montenegro
The new Croatia Island-Hopping & Montenegro itinerary explores Croatia’s spectacular islands and lesser-known destinations.

M/Y Callisto carries just 34 guests in 17 cabins.
The itinerary visits Vis, Lastovo and Mljet before continuing to Montenegro’s UNESCO-listed Bay of Kotor.
Weekly departures operate roundtrip from Dubrovnik.
The itinerary targets travellers seeking authentic experiences away from busy tourist centres.
Consequently, guests can combine UNESCO heritage, local traditions and historic towns with time on the water.
The voyage also visits family-owned wineries, secluded bays and several protected natural areas.

Highlights include Mljet National Park and its legendary Odysseus Cave.
Other stops include the Elaphiti Islands, Lastovo Nature Park, Blue Cave and the Pakleni Islands.
The itinerary also includes Dubrovnik Old Town, Hvar and Kotor.
Small-Ship Cruising in the Adriatic
M/Y Callisto’s compact size allows it to reach smaller harbours and secluded anchorages.
The yacht can also access swimming coves that larger cruise ships cannot reach.
Meanwhile, the small guest numbers create a more intimate cruising experience.

The cruise includes four guided excursions and 14 meals.
It also includes a welcome dinner and a captain’s dinner.
Selected beverages, Wi-Fi and cultural experiences form part of the package.
Guests can also use kayaks, paddleboards and snorkelling equipment at no extra cost.
Guided Excursions
Four guided excursions form part of the itinerary.
These include a walking tour of Dubrovnik Old Town.
Guests also visit Mljet National Park, including its protected natural landscapes.

Another guided walking tour explores the historic town of Hvar.
The final excursion visits UNESCO-listed Kotor Old Town in Montenegro.
What the Cruise Price Excludes
The £1,600 starting price does not cover all onboard and shore expenses.
Beverages remain excluded, except for those specifically included within the package.
Shore excursions outside the four included tours also cost extra.
Other land arrangements, crew gratuities and personal expenses remain the guest’s responsibility.
Port charges can also add up to £250 per person.
Travellers should therefore consider these additional costs when budgeting for the cruise.
Variety Cruises Expands Its Adriatic Offering
The new itinerary marks another step in Variety Cruises’ long-standing approach to small-ship travel.
The company focuses on immersive experiences rather than simply visiting major tourist landmarks.
Its “Go Deeper” philosophy encourages guests to explore destinations through local culture and experiences.
Variety Cruises is a family-owned small-ship cruise company with more than 75 years’ experience.

The company specialises in destination-focused cruising aboard small yachts.
Its itineraries currently include Greece, Italy and Malta, Seychelles, West Africa, Cape Verde and Tahiti.
The cruises combine exploration, comfort and opportunities to discover local traditions and communities.

The new Croatia and Montenegro itinerary extends that approach into the Adriatic.
For travellers interested in island-hopping aboard a small yacht, the seven-night voyage offers another way to explore Croatia and Montenegro.
