Alongside the breathtaking entertainments the Battle Proms is famous for uplifting music, fireworks, Spitfire, cannons, cavalry, parachutes. The Battle Poms 2025 will be bigger and better. The organisers are planning a Vintage Spectacular to celebrate the VE & VJ Day 80th anniversary year in style!
New for 2025!
The organisers have added a distinctly bigger and better vintage flavour to this year’s concerts. These include a WWII living History exhibit.
WWII Living History
Visit fascinating displays from expert re-enactors, who are preserving the stories of those who lived and served in wartime Britain.
Get into the Vintage Spirit
You’re invited to join in with this year’s 1940s theme and come dressed the part – don your best vintage glad rags and get in the swing of things!
Victory Rolls
Truly look the part with a little help from the Vintage Victory Rollers and their pop-up on site hairdressing salon!
The orchestral programme has also been carefully chosen to include plenty of nostalgic numbers. It too is bigger and better.
With iconic pieces such as the themes from WWII epics 633 Squadron and The Great Escape. These are beautifully complemented by stirring classics you know and love such as the 1812 Overture and the ‘Battle Symphony’. It will feature 200 live cannons, plus all the last night of the proms favourites. There’s something for everyone.
And of course those fabulous Battle Proms Belles will be back to warm up the crowd. They evoke a bygone era with the songs and styles synonymous with WWII. From The Andrews Sisters to Dame Vera Lynn to The Lambeth Walk.
