With the 90-day Schengen restrictions affecting time spent camping in Europe, Morocco is attracting a lot more motorcaravan visitors.
Camping Morocco was first published by Vicarious Media in 2009. Back then it listed 98 inspected campsites, displaying one site per A5 page.
Fourteen years later Vicarious Media having recognised the now larger market is demanding an update have published a 2025 version.
Mammoth task
Vicarious Media team members Andrew and Carol Doree undertook the mammoth task of inspecting nearly 200 places believed to be campsites.
They travelled for 6 months over the 2023/24 winter season. The result is 158 inspected campsites have been detailed in the traditional Vicarious style.
The 56 page A5 staple bound book features a brief introduction followed by detailed maps in the first pages. It then lists 2 campsites per page. (4 campsites per double page spread.) These are complemented with 3 different indexes listing the sites by map number, site name, and town name. The booklet weighs just 90 grams.
Interactive downloadable PDF
Breaking from tradition, the publishers now give customers the choice of buying the 56-page Camping Morocco as a printed booklet. Or as an interactive downloadable pdf. They can of course have both if they wish.
The interactive downloadable PDF format is sold tax free wherever it is purchased. It does not rely on the internet or WiFi after it has been downloaded.
It can be read using either Adobe or Foxit and users can jump between campsites entries and map. The links to websites and email addresses are all interactively live.
Each downloadable pdf version is personalised with the owners name and email address. It can be emailed worldwide.
