Set in the heart of a lost Eden, the Four Seasons Resort Seychelles in Petite Lazare overlooking Petite Anse offers guests an unrivalled luxury hotel experience in a natural jungle setting. Tree-top villas, deserted beaches and world-class service all converge here to challenge your notion of paradise.
Bob Suri Resort Manager is enthusiastic in his welcome, “There is so much to see and do here that really need a week to take it all in.”
Sadly we have not got that time but a tour of the property affirms his statement. The Hilltop spa is a tranquil spot and the perfect place from which to view the sun set into the Indian Ocean. You can almost hear the water sizzle as it sinks below the horizon.
Welcome cocktails are taken at Zez, a Zen like lounge and we are joined by Alex Porteous the Hotels General Manager. We talk of his many experiences and conversation switches to the nature that surrounds this oasis in the jungle where fruit bats soar above the tress night and day. “Are they dangerous?” A large nervous looking lady asks. “Only if you are a mango!”exclaims Alex.
Internationally recognized chefs serve up their own interpretations of Mediterranean, Southeast Asian and Creole-inspired cuisine. Truly a treat for the senses! Tonight it is Italian night with a set four course menu in the refined elegance of the ZEZ resturant.
Quite delicious and beautifully executed.
