Kitchen staff at the Grand Palazzio Hotel in Livorno took a gracious back seat recently when super yacht captains descended into their hallowed spaces and began to make a mess.
It was all part of the Benetti Yachtmasters event now celebrating its thirteenth incarnation.
Divided into four teams Captains were given the ingredients for lunch and then set about producing a meal for 100 to enjoy in the hotels palatial Resturant
Meatballs, quiche, pasta and cheese on toast were all prepared for the buffet style lunch along with several other dishes.
Flushed with their own success the Captains desended upon the luckless kitchen staff again in the afternoon this time to cook up a bevy of tea time goodies with chocolate being the number one ingredient.
