Fastmount, the innovative New Zealand company behind the international award winning panel mounting systems is to unveil new products at METS 2011.
Designed specifically for the marine industry and used by custom yards, outfitter companies, production yards and commercial shipyards in more than 50 countries the devices allow the Panels can quickly and easily be removal and refitting of panals in any sequence to exactly the same location time after time.
The first of the new products is a Low Profile range. Designed for areas where depth is restricted, used for wall and lightweight panels. The Low Profile range consists of 4 new clips specifically designed with less depth (10mm compared to the standard range of 15mm depth). The low profile clips are interchangeable and work together meaning the system is suitable for a variety of applications.
Perfect for curved panels and panels that require an adhesive fix, the combination of the LP-AF8 and LP-SM2 allows for lateral adjustment and with less depth compared to the standard Fastmount range.
Low profile clips include:
- LP-M8: Low profile self tapping male clip
- LP-SM8: Low profile surface mount male clip
- LP-F8: Low profile self tapping female clip
- LP-AF8: low profile autofit female clip
Low Profile clips offer an alternative to the existing Fastmount standard range, moving the location of clip flex from the male half of the clip to the female, resulting in a more robust male half less likely to be damaged during panel handling. Hole drilling for the female half is with a standard 25mm drill.
With the addition of the Low Profile system customer have a greater choice of panel mounting options yet still enjoy the usual benefits from Fastmount. The Fastmount system achieves perfect alignment and panels can quickly and easily be removed and refitted to exactly the same location every time.
Overall, the Low profile clips have a lower pull out load, and less flexing and require less depth. Providing two complete Fastmount systems with multiple clips means customers have a greater choice of panel mounting options yet still enjoy the usual benefits from Fastmount. The Fastmount system achieves perfect alignment and panels can quickly and easily be removed and refitted to exactly the same location every time.
