Montenegro hopes new port will become like St Tropez
Phase one of the new Porto Negro super yacht marina development has been opened and among the visiting superyachts moored there to take part in the ceremony was the 73 metre Queen K owned by the Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska.
The Russian mega yacht owner is a minority shareholder in “Adriatic Marinas” the company which is building and plans to run the development. Majority owner with a 54 % stake in the company, is Canadian billionaire Peter Munk who opened the first phase of the new marina at the inauguration ceremony. Stage one will offer 85 marina berths for yachts between 12 and 100 metres.
