Tim Saunders Leaves Firm and Rupert Mann Rebrands
The dynamic duo that formed Rainsford Saunders Design have split apart with Tim Saunders leaving, and the company renamed.
Announcing the split, Rupert Rainsford Mann said that the company will be making a significant transition over the next few weeks. He added, “After eight years of successful partnership with and in an amicable arrangement, Tim Saunders will continue his career in yacht design independently. Rainsford Mann Design will become the company’s new name with Mann becoming the sole owner. RMD will continue to focus on its core business of designing motor yachts for both the new build and refit markets and, with its established team of talented designers, the transition is expected to be smooth. “Tim leaves the company in good shape for the future,” said Rupert Mann. “We wish him every success in his new venture.”

Saunders Yacht Design; providing distinctive design solutions to owners and yards around the world. With his strong connections in Turkey and a good working relationship with many of the country’s top super yacht building yards, it is likely that the new firm will have a base in Bodrum, a city that is evolving dynamically as it embraces super yacht construction. “The partnership was a great experience,” commented Saunders, “but after eight years I feel ready for a fresh challenge.”
