The 20th anniversary edition of the book Go Motorhoming Europe has been published.
Authors Chris Doree and Meli George own and run Vicarious Media. Twenty years ago, they published this ‘how to do it’ guide. It detailed how first timers should go about taking their Motorcaravans.
Back then few of those who travelled in their motor caravans knew what an Aire was. Even fewer had ever stayed in one.
The couple had been caravanning in the UK for a couple of years before they set off full-timing around Europe in their self imported 10 year old Hymer 654 A-class motorhome.
One year and 27,000 miles later they returned to the UK. Mell was determined to save other motor homers from their expensive mistakes So the book Go Motorhoming Europe was written to do just that
Slowly but gradually, the word spread. The couple sold more books and there came the time when a second reprint was needed.
But instead of rehashing the same old copy, the duo set off through Europe to update their original book.
Their publishing empire took off from then and now produces Motorcaravan guide books listing Aires and other overnight stops right across Europe and even more recently into Morocco.
Having clocked over half a million motorhome miles inspecting stopovers throughout Europe.
Their hands-on experience is infused into every guidebook, ensuring accuracy, real-world insight, and trustworthiness.
But they never forgot the book that became their most consistent seller.
Now fully updated Go Motorhoming Europe has been launched as the 20th anniversary edition and is being snapped by quite a few happy looking punters.
