Fine Art Book from Lürssen

Lürssen has launched a striking Fine Art Book to mark its 150th anniversary. This limited-edition volume celebrates the shipyard’s heritage and design mastery through breathtaking imagery.

The book captures 36 iconic Lürssen yachts, photographed by Jarmo Pohjaniemi during a ten-month global voyage. His lens travelled from the turquoise waters of the Maldives and Seychelles to the vibrant coastlines of Thailand, Malaysia, and Europe.

Pohjaniemi, known for his fashion-photography background, brings cinematic style to the open sea. His images portray yachts like Flying FoxPelorus, and Luminance in dynamic, dreamlike compositions.

Each page transforms a yacht into a living character. One image shows synchronised swimmers beside Flying Fox, while another captures Pelorus powering through a storm off Cyprus. Sweeping drone shots reveal elegant silhouettes gliding through remote waters.

Shooting yachts like supermodels, Pohjaniemi reveals their individuality while protecting owner privacy. The result feels both intimate and awe-inspiring.

The book also reflects Lürssen’s unmatched range. From the pioneering explorer Octopus to the refined Luminance, no other builder matches this diversity or scale.

Over 300 pages, the Lürssen Fine Art Book celebrates German craftsmanship and the artistry behind each vessel. Never-before-seen images of Rising SunLimitlessOctopus, and Haven make this volume a true collector’s piece.

Together, the yachts photographed represent more than three kilometres of Lürssen excellence. Aligned bow-to-stern, they could stretch from Monaco to Roquebrune-Cap-Martin.

Luxury journalist Rachel Ingram accompanies the photography with an evocative narrative. Her text traces the shipyard’s 150-year evolution under four generations of the Lürssen family, highlighting innovation, vision, and legacy.

The Lürssen Fine Art Book stands as both a tribute and an artwork — a perfect gift for passionate yacht lovers this Christmas.
