Aqua Expeditions are to add the destination of the Seychelles to their cruising itineraries.
The company offers superyacht voyages in Raja Ampat and The Galapagos and river ship cruising on the Amazon and Mekong
Since their very first voyages in 2007, the company has been committed to perfecting the onboard experience.
Although they did dump us in the middle of the Amazon Forest on the one and only occasion, they offered us a press trip!
That was before they started cruising the cultural and biodiversity hotspots around the globe. The likes of floating villages of Mekong and the volcanic islands of Galapagos.
As they continue to indulge their appetite for exploration, they have announced next destination. As a destination Seychelles is a set of islands which combine familiar sights with uncharted frontiers.
In December 2025, they plan to arrive at the shores of East Africa, presenting small-ship expeditions unlike any other in the region.
Dive deeper
In the Seychelles, they plan to dive deeper into the story of evolution and natural selection. Following on from what they started on board Aqua Mare in the Galapagos Islands.
The Aldabra Atoll presents the world’s largest population of giant tortoises – a population which owes its survival to 19th century conservation efforts by scientists including Charles Darwin.
Over on Seychelles’ inner islands, we find endemic species of flora – including the renowned coco de mer – and fauna, which have evolved over millions of years of isolation.
Continue the story
Sailing over to Tanzania, they will continue the story of a centuries-old spice trade. Somewhat reminiscent of their explorations in the Spice Islands on board Aqua Blu.
The Zanzibar archipelago showcases a unique blend of culture and nature, with ruins of old plantations and a once-mighty sultanate standing alongside lush green hills and rich mangrove forests.
The newest addition to their fleet is yet unnamed and has not been described in detail. The ship no doubt will bring with it the company’s unique brand of expeditions. These are characterised by personalised service, expert-led excursions, and luxurious accommodation.
