British Marine has like us learned that there is great synergy between yachting and Motor Caravanning.
Like us they attended the sell-out Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show which has proved once again to be a resounding success for them.
The show, which welcomed over 120,000 visitors, offers a unique cross-selling opportunity for marine businesses to reach new audiences and the perfect backdrop to showcase entry level watersports experiences that are ideal for outdoor enthusiasts.
As journalists who write about both yachts and campervans we believe there is a real synergy between outdoor living and watersports and with everything from kayaks and canoes to inflatable boats and paddleboards.
Commenting on the show, the marine exhibitors said:
“We were blown away about the number of visitors that came to the Camping, Caravan & Motorhome show, we have never seen so many people on our stand before and to be there supporting British Marine and our other marine colleagues was a great opportunity. During the event, we had the opportunity to meet and engage with numerous visitors, including seasoned boaters and newcomers alike and we were particularly pleased to receive positive feedback on our new range of marine electronics, which includes the latest GPS and sonar technology. Overall, the show was a fantastic success for Excel Marine, and we look forward to showcasing our products and engaging with even more customers at future events.” Stephen Blake, Sales Director, Excel Marine Group.
“It was a great show as ever and lovely to see such a good turnout, especially at the weekend. We love the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show and attend aiming to get more people out on the water enjoying what is often on their doorstep. We launched our brand new, UK made kayak design which was really well received so look forward to the next event.” Becky Hunter, Director, Riber Products Ltd.
“The Boatworld team had a fantastic time on our return to the show. We enjoyed showing how an inflatable boat can be the perfect pairing for a camping or campervan trip. It was great selling boats to so many people on their first venture in the boating world. We would like to thank everyone that came on our stand for making it such a successful show!” Corey Crowdy, Sales and Marketing Executive, Boatworld.
“One of the best shows of the year.” Jordan Belcher, Managing partner, Sandbanks Style.
“It was our first time to exhibit at this show. We did not know what to expect but we were delighted with both the footfall and level of customer engagement. We showcased a boat from our Corsiva range and the feedback on the quality and price was extremely positive. We have come away with some excellent leads from customers all over the country.” James Clifton, Sales Manager, Val Wyatt Marine.
“This was our first time exhibiting at The Caravan, Camping and Motor home show. Entering not knowing what to expect, the show was busy and an overall success – Of course, the two lifestyles go hand in hand. There was a build-up of people to the weekend, where we saw the most suited people for the jet ski market. A sizable amount of footfall owned Jet Skis, and a small number were in the market to upgrade. From this, we have been able to sell one of our higher end skis plus, develop relationships with many of the adventurists passing the stand. Looking forward, we are set to do very well from the show.” Harvey Balsdon, Director, Jet Ski UK Ltd.
“To be able to help facilitate marine businesses in exhibiting at this incredibly popular show is something we see as invaluable and we are delighted that a number of the exhibitors have already expressed an interest in returning again next year”, Lesley concluded.
