Among the yachts moored inside Porto Cervo Harbour for the Perini Navi Cup was Libertas built by Gamma Yachts to designs by Vripack.
The yacht belongs to Andrea Bocelli the Italian tenor and song writer whose work spans both popular music and classical opera and he was at the sailing regatta to work alongside
Fabio and Milena Perini to promote his charity project known as the Andrea Bocelli Foundation. It was created by Andrea and Veronica Bocelli to provide full medical care for over 1000 children in Haiti.
What no one knew as they sat down to a Gala Dinner was that Fabio and Milena had persuaded Andrea to get up from his table and sing a song.
Needless to say the audience were delighted and it and the specular fireworks display that followed was the perfect way to celebrate the close of the most wonderful three days of fun racing in true superyacht style
