With a hull shape fit to grace a superyacht this 102 metre craft is capable of speeds up to 35 knots.
But the catamaran hulled vessel is not about to enter service as a superyacht but will instead serve Condor Ferries on a route they operate from Poole in Dorset to the Channel Islands.
The vessel was built by Austal in Cebu and completed the 10,000 nautical mile maiden voyage from the Philippines to Great Britain in just 22 days on a route that saw her sail across the Indian Ocean, along the Gulf of Aden and into the Red Sea. From there she passed through the Suez Canal, crossed the Mediterranean Sea. Passing Gibraltar she then travelled north into UK waters.
When in service with Condor Ferries she will carry 900 passengers and 245 cars.
Presently known only as Condor 102 she will be more traditionally named before entering service in March 2015
