MYEclipse-Frederikshavn-Denmark

The Superyacht Yacht Management Division of commercial merchant ship managers Andrew Weir has been contracted as the sole provider of technical management services to the 162 metre superyacht Eclipse the world’s second longest superyacht, reported to be ultimately owned by Roman Abramovich

The contract brings to the company a fleet in excess of 15 large private and charter yachts all under management

The signing provides for the provision of a full ISM system and related services including the appointment of a DPA and 24-hour emergency response.

Technical services will include the implementation and approval of a used planned maintenance system and liaison between Flag State, Class and the yacht.

Steve Corkhill, Managing Director of AWYM said, “Every management contract is different, and in most cases, “top-down” management simply doesn’t work in the yachting industry. Our service to Eclipse will be as flexible as possible and management decisions will be taken in conjunction with the client’s representatives to ensure that the operation of the yacht is never compromised”
