Tempus Fugit cuts an impressive debut on the classic yacht circuit

Tempus Fugit, the new Tempus 90 designed by Humphreys Yacht Design of Lymington, UK, and beautifully constructed of cold moulded wood epoxy by Arkin Pruva in Antalya, Turkey, has had an impressive debut on the classic circuit in Cannes and Saint-Tropez.

Her first event was the Regates Royale de Cannes which, coming only 5 weeks after her launch, was effectively an extension of her sea trials.

Then, she entered the Voiles de Saint-Tropez at full pace and was placed 5th equal in IRC Class A, against a field of 23 mostly modern carbon racers and fast cruiser/racers, counting among them Swans, Baltics, and  Wallys.

Commenting on her first appearance, Rob Humphreys, head of the Humphreys Yacht Design studio, commented, “We are thrilled that the first of the class has really delivered in terms of looks, quality, performance and handling qualities. We were not looking forward to having to compete with the best of modern IRC racers but we found that we could acquit ourselves really well against them, which is a huge endorsement for the Tempus Class.’
