All Change at Fraser Yachts

Just months after his appointment as Chairman of Fraser Yachts Fabio Ermetto, previously the Director of Sales & Marketing at Heesen Yachts in Holland, used the Monaco Yacht Show to announce the restructuring of Yachtique where he is also now the Group President.

Yachtique is a division of Azimut-Benetti and as such oversees the activities of Fraser Yachts.
Speaking at a briefing on board the sailing yacht KokomoErmetto told the yachting press that Fraser CEO Hein Velema and Global Director of Marketing at Fraser Yachts are to both leave the company with almost immediate effect.
Velema leaves for destinations as yet unknown while Coote swaps national flags and joins the German super yacht builder Blohm + Voss taking up his new role on the 1st of October.
At the same briefing it was announced that the company is to develop new offices in both Malta and Singapore and has plans to expand the firm’s yacht management activities.
On July 1, Fabio Ermetto, previously sales & marketing director at Heesen Yachts, joined Fraser Yachts as chairman and also president of the Yachtique Division of Azimut-Benetti. CEO Hein Velema is leaving and is understood to be reviewing his future. The reason for his departure is unknown at this stage. Patrick Coote, global marketing director at Fraser has been headhunted by Blohm & Voss and he starts on October 1 as its new sales & marketing director.
In Malta Gino Cutajar, formerly the MD of Cutrico Marine is take up a Franchise under the Fraser Yachts banner.  While doing so he expects to retain his position of President of the Malta Superyacht Industry Network.
In Singapore, Julian Chang hopes soon to open an Office of Fraser Yachts to represent the brand there.
