With the Perini Cup beginning tomorrow the docks in Porto Cervo are beginning to get busy as more and more service suppliers arrive on the scene to support the super yachts gathering for this owners regatta which happens just once every two years
This year sees the fifth edition of the Perini Navi Cup, which, as of today, will attract 20 superyachts built by Perini Navi including the 56m Panthalassa and The Maltese Falcon, the revolutionary 88m clipper, which has also confirmed her participation.
Ben Wood, a director of rigging specialists Marine Resultsis one of a number of technical experts from various fields who will be on hand during the regatta to service the fleet as part of Perini’s commitment to supporting the competing yachts. His company has been named as accredited rigging service supplier for the event.
We will fly to Olbia tomorrow as guests of the Perini Navi Cup organisers. We will join in with the fun and will be reporting daily on racing which starts on Thursday in the waters off Porto Cervo and continues until 31st August
