It seems to me that the Captain of Costa Concordia may have been a little slow off the mark.
Had he had knowledge of the ways in which Todd Humphreys and his team from the University of Texas recently used equipment to take controlof a super yacht he might have used a different defence when it came to his trial.
The University team was able to steer the super yacht White Rose of Drachs to port and starboard at will, while her crew was totally unaware that anything was wrong.
