CIMC Raffles Yacht Rebrands to become Pryde

Recently maritime enterprise in China has flourished with a number of large Chinese enterprises acquiring important yachting brands. In super yacht building terms Pryde is a new name.
It is a rebranding of CIMC Raffles Yacht Ltd., owned by China International Marine Containers (CIMC).
The 11 billion dollar enterprise has extensive experience in the domain of manufacturing and shipbuilding. In general, maritime enterprise in China has flourished in recent years, and it is hoped that Pryde will greatly benefit from its close ties with its parent company CIMC.  It expects to be able to operate as a fully fledged player in the global yacht-building industry.
The company intends to showcase its new 88.8 metre yacht Illusion at the up coming Monaco Yacht Show.  The yacht is currently in build and being marketed by Fraser Yachts for delivery in 2015.
Itay Simhony, the shipyard’s director, says the company’s philosophy can be characterized by its professionalism, its perfectionist approach and superb craftsmanship. This is encapsulated by the spirit of ‘the unlimited’: endless possibilities in the development, creation and marketing of 80-120m super yachts.”
