We spent the night at anchor off Rashdoo Island in the Ari Atoll. The next morning after the early morning divers went off in search of Hammerhead sharks only to return disappointed we weighed anchor and motored to Hafsa Thila.
Here again divers donned their kit and plunged into the depths while we adventurers went snorkelling and swimming off a spectacular coral reef in the middle of nowhere!
We lunched on the aft deck under the shade as Explorermotored through waters littered with islands some of which are deserted others that are home to resorts and every now and again larger islands that have been kept tourist free for the local population.
We dropped anchor off the island of Meerufushi. It is the most perfect of text book dessert islands in that you can walk on white sandy beach and around the palm tree filled centre in just 8 minutes. Less if you hurray!
