Yacht Captain Turned Journalist Dies of Cancer

Yacht Captain turned journalist Peter Boulton, lost his battle against cancer and died on 28th March 2013 his 77thbirthday.  He was being treated at the Cimiez Hospital in Nice having been diagnosed with the disease late last year.
American by birth and nationality he had chosen to retire to the South of France.  Inspired by what we were doing, writing for yachting magazines Peter began writing for Amanda McKraken then the editor of Boat International shortly after we left that title.  He also wrote for Dockwalk and ShowBoats magazines.
Peter had for many years been the Captain of Giggles he was also well known as Radio presenter working on local radio presenting programmes with classical music content
