Luxury Yacht Group’s annual photo competition for yacht crew has ended with the announcement of three happy winners.
From 1000’s of entries the field was narrowed to a top 20 and from January 15th users of the luxyachts.com website were asked to vote for their favorites.
Once the votes were tallied the clear winner ($3,000) was Bosun Daniel Chafer with his creative perspective of the swimming pigs of the Big Majors in the Bahamas.
Second place ($2,000) went to Chief Mate John-Henry Davis and his excellently lit Mexican diving scene and the third place prize ($1,000) went to Chief Stewardess Nikki Hancock for a picture of her husband holding a prize catch during their cruise of Pacific waters.
Rupert Connor, President of Luxury Yacht Group, commenting on the competition, stated that “each year the crew continue to amaze us with very high quality and creative images”.
This is the second year that Luxury Yacht Group has run their photo competition and the 2013 edition will open for entries from all crew registered with Luxury Yacht Group in October.
