Hotel for Shipyard Visits in Livorno

The city and port of Livorno on the Tyrrhenian Sea is home to one of the Benetti Shipyards.  Currently the shipyard has eight super yachts under construction in Livorno and we will be visiting the shipyard soon
Located on the western coast of Tuscany, in Italy the city is capital of the Province of Livorno and has a population of approximately 161,000 residents.  It is not short of hotels but for those visiting the shipyard the Grand Hotel Palazzo is most convenient.
Claiming to be one of the finest hotels in Italy; it’s been refurbished back to its nineteenth-century glory and to its earlier splendour.
123 rooms are spread across 4 floors, including suites, junior suites, and one royal suite on the first floor.
The terrace floor hosts penthouse rooms with a private balcony and great sea view.  It has a solarium terrace with a small but charming outdoor pool, a good restaurant, and an American-style bar and a roof garden, which are good for eating but strangely close somewhat early by most Mediterranean standards. The restaurant serving regional refined dishes on the top floor welcomes guests every day for a quick and informal lunch or for a relaxing and romantic candle light dinner.
Conveniently close to the city centre just three kilometres away it is well connected by trains and road.  The airport: G. Galilei at Pisa (PSA) is twenty eight kilometres away and accessible using either a train or by driving the A12 GE-Rosignano Motorway.
