In 2006 the UK’s oldest Bang & Olufsen dealer moved into the marine sector – winning a contract to supply Sunseeker International providing bespoke audiovisual & control systems to their range of yachts.
Today Dawsons the Bournmouth based hi fi shop has engaged into a special association with the Yacht Technologies division of Selex Elsag itself part of the Italian Finmeccanica Group, one of the largest electronics and communications groups in the world, employing 75,000 people in the aerospace, defence and security sectors.
The union, which brings together worldwide expertise and technological resources, will enable Yacht Technologies to bring its state-of-the-art entertainment solutions to a new level.
Adding to Yacht Technologies’ ‘HorizonX’ offering, the association also strengthens the company’s mission to provide inspiration for yacht owners, yards and designers to integrate the very latest technology and innovations into their projects.
Dawsons recently picked up the title of Best Marine Installation in the 2012 CEDIA Awards. They offer, audio-visual solutions utilising Bang & Olufsen’s distinctive range of quality audio, video and multimedia products.
