Today July 12th marks the first official appearance of the the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority at the prestigious Panerai British Classic Week regatta taking place from 7 to 14 July in Cowes,
“Antigua and Barbuda Race Day,” is scheduled as part of the leading classic yachting event in Britain and part of the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge with events happening all over the world including the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta which is scheduled from 18 to 23 April 2013.
Hilary Modeste, Director of Tourism UK and Europe, Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority said “Antigua and Barbuda’s reputation as a sailing destination is already well established and we feel that this is the ideal partnership to reinforce our position as the Sailing Capital of the Caribbean.”
Winners of the Antigua and Barbuda Race Day will win a luxury holiday to the destination courtesy of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority and St James Club and Villas.
With some of the Caribbean’s most renowned sailing events, including the Antigua Yacht Regatta and Antigua Sailing Week from 28 April to 3 May, Antigua and Barbuda are firm favourites with sailing enthusiasts looking for new challenges.
