As crewed yachts go, a crew of 141 could be said to be a tad excessive even if the boat is 43.5 metres overall
But then Aries Punnamada Chundan is not what might call your average boat!
After making its entry in the Limca Book of World Records and Guinness Book of World Records, Aries Punnamada Chundan has gained the spotlight again by entering the Asia Book of Records.
The boat holds the record for “Longest Steel Boat or Snake Boat” in the world. It measures 143.25 ft, 5.74 ft wide and weighs 8 tonnes carrying a canoe crew of 141 members.
Conceived and designed by Sohan Roy, CEO, Aries Group of Companies, the snake boats strength, durability and its scientific design is what makes it stand apart from other traditional snake boats.
And wait for it! The steel snake boat is also regarded as “Unsinkable”.
Asia Book of World Records is a platform for all Asians to showcase their unique talent and inspire the world to go one step further. It is an organisation started by group of world records holders to help themselves and the people around them to expand their imagination as in history.
