Ask anyone who has chartered and they will first mention the Crew then the boat and the fun they had on board. In other words, you can have a great yacht but the experience can be ruined by poor crew.
Sailing aboard E&E we have enjoyed ourselves so much we think her crew ought to have a special mention.
CAPTAIN BAHADIR KARVAN
E&E’s experienced Captain Bahadir was born in 1974 and started his yachting career long years ago. After spending five years as deckhand on 136 meters superyacht Savarona and three years as first officer he became the co-captain aboard a private 69 meter yacht. He joined 37 metre Jasmin in 2003 as first officer and co-captain. In the winter of 2004 he crossed the Atlantic to St. Martin aboard Jasmin and sailed to many Caribbean Islands. In 2005 he was appointed as Captain on Jasmin and remained there until he transferred to the Owner’s new yacht E&E in 2011. Bahadir is a very experienced charter captain, has broad knowledge of Turkish coasts, Greek islands, Italy and France. He holds his Master’s certificate (for vessels up to 3000gt.) and all STCW’95 certificates. He speaks fluent English and native Turkish.
1st OFFICER BAKI PISKIN
1st Officer Baki was born in 1975. He studied Tourism and Hotel Management and started his maritime life on an American cruise ship in 2000 as deckhand. After working on several charter yachts, he joined Jasmin in December 2004 and transferred with his Captain to E&E in 2011 as 1st Officer. He has all STCW certificates and is qualified as a yacht captain. He is loves working on yachts and concentrate all his energy on yachting. Baki speaks fluent English and his native tongue Turkish.
CHIEF ENGINEER LEVENT IPEK
Born in 1977, Levent graduated as “Oceangoing Watch Keeping Engineer” from university and has worked for many years on merchant ships as engineer. After getting experience in yacht building as an installation / mechanical engineer, he decided he wanted to work on board yachts. He joined E&E in early 2012. Levent speaks English as well as Turkish, his native tongue.
CHARTER CHEF BERK ALPAY
E&E’s talented young chef Berk was born in 1981. He studied at the Educational Institute of American Hotel and Lodging Association and started to work in 2000. After getting some experience in USA, he moved back to his hometown and became Senior Chef de Partie of Swissotel Grand Efes in Izmir. He joined on E&E in 2011 making an excellent debut during Monaco Yacht Show in September 2011. He has broad knowledge of international, Mediterranean and Turkish cuisine, speaks fluent English and Turkish. He likes free diving and skiing.
STEWARDESS OLGA MIROSHNYCHENKO
Ukrainian born Stewardess Olga joined Jasmin in 2010 and transferred to E&E in 2011. 32 years old she has 7 years of experience on several cruise lines and private yachts. She is a graduate from Odessa Pedagogical University. She speaks fluent English, Russian and Ukrainian. With her sociable and communicative personality and always smiling face she will be ready to welcome the guests on E&E.
STEWARDESS COURTENEY ALICE MULLEN
The British stewardess Courteney joined E&E in 2012. Born in 1986, she is young, dynamic, smiling and has experience on several cruise lines and Michelin Star restaurant in London . She is graduated from AFDA Cape Town with a Double Major. Additionally she has ENG 1 MEDICAL CERTIFICATE for the elementary first aid. Her passion is free diving and sailing.
STEWARDESS CAROLINE CRUTCHLEY
Kiwi stewardess Caroline joined E&E in 2012. Born in 1986, she is a hard worker and very dynamic. She has strong organisational and administrative skills plus silver service experience. Additional skills include first aid experience, including extensive first aid medical training and experience dealing with sudden medical emergencies.
Her passion is rowing and travelling. She is also a gold medalist swimmer in New Zealand.
DECKHAND UGUR GIRGIN
At 23, Ugur is one of the youngest crew members of E&E. He started to work on yachts when he was 15 year old. He is a very good tender driving and experienced at water sports. He is Turkish, holds all STCW certificates and “Able Seaman” qualification. He speaks some English.
DECKHAND HALİL ÇETİN
Halil is the youngest member of the E&E crew and joins with a great enthusiasm for the super yachting sector. Like Ugur he also started to work on yachts when he was 15 years old. He is good in tender driving. He is Turkish and holds all STCW certificates. He speaks entry level English.
