Omer Malaz the founder of Numarine Performance Yachts is again the sole owner of his company following a four year flirtation with the Abraaj Group of Dubai.
Without doubt Abraaj added additional brand values and as a joint venture partner enabled the boat builder to pass through the economic recession with few negative impacts.
Mr Malaz however has sought and now succeeded in becoming the sole owner of the yard leaving him clear to re establish his dream design team of Tommasso Spadolini, Can Yalman and Umberto Tagliavini who worked so well with him on new yacht projects in the past.
Malaz has strong development ideas with a worldwide expansion plan aimed at the most important emerging markets in Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, Lebanon, Hong Kong and the rest of the Far East.
Omer Malaz and his family made money from the Malazlar Match Co, Turkey’s second largest mach manufacturer and the financial backing from the family is now stronger than ever at a time when Turkey’s economy is by comparison to the rest of the world, booming.
Marketing policies are even stronger with Pinar Coskuner Genc looking after marketing and sales matters while Ali Tanir (previously with Vicem Yachts) becomes the new communication adviser.
NuMarine is planning to attend major boat shows such as Cannes, Fort Lauderdale and Miami in addition to local important shows such as Rio, Beirut, Hong Kong and Jeddah.
A worldwide advertising campaign will follow main launches of the yard during the 2012-2013.
