We found this to be the case not only when we visited Theo Hooning the Secretary General of SYBAss in his offices there for an interview in Superyacht Business magazine but also more recently when we dropped in on Moonen to write one in a series of shipyard reports that we are becoming known for.
There we found the yard in full production mode having completed My Way and before that Crystal the Dixon 120 GRP yacht originally started by Royal Denship.
In the Construction shed we saw the steel hull and aluminum superstructure of the new build Milo just days before the two were joined together. Milo being built for the owner of Nilo is a very different kettle of fish to her little sister and as an expedition boat is being completed for voyages of Discovery around the world.
Definitely one to watch and rest assured we will be.
Holland in and out again in a Day
With Southampton Airport and its low cost airline links to Europe so close to our working base getting to visit shipyards in The Netherlands on a day return flight is quite possible.
