The Sinking of the Superyacht Yogi

The superyacht Yogi has sunk in heavy weather off the Greek island of Skyros

Her crew of 8 were all were winched to safety by the Greek airforce.

The Greek coastguard reported that the rescue operation lasted roughly an hour and that no one was injured.

Reports on the Greek coastguard website said mechanical failure was to blame for the sinking, which happened in a north-westerly Force 8.

Yogi was the middle of three yachts to be launched by her Turkish builder in the spring of 2011. The first to emerge was Turquoise and within weeks of Yogi taking to the water the 74 metre Talisman C joined her sisters on the dock face at the Pendik shipyard.
