Jade Yachtsin Taiwan have launched the 27.9m expedition style yacht Smiling T
Peter Hürzeler Managing Partner of Ocean Independence reported that the launch of this “genuine little ship” was celebrated in style, with a traditional Chinese blessing ceremony and a bottle of champagne across the bow.
With her elegant teak interior designed by Birgit Schnaase, Smiling T offers great volume for a yacht of her size. The welcoming layout comprises a master suite on the main deck, and on the lower deck 2 cabins with either double or twin beds as well as a 3rd twin cabin that is easily converted from a twin cabin to a gym or vice versa.
Other features include a spacious owner’s salon behind a proper bridge, and the large sundeck with Jacuzzi and bar, altogether creating an outstanding guest experience.
The yacht cruises at 10 knots, has transatlantic range and excellent sea keeping qualities. She is fully equipped, including zero speed stabilisers, and MCA compliant.
Due for sea trials and delivery to her owners in January 2012, she will then be shipped to Europe to cruise the Mediterranean with her owners and charter guests in Summer 2012.
