Hein Velema the CEO of Fraser Yachts believes that there is an over supply in charter market and that to be successful superyachts need to stand out from the competition
After the summer season the charter market has now calmed down as it enters the changeover period to the Caribbean.
Velema believes that the supply of charter yachts has grown substantially over the last few years meaning that yacht owners are actively competing to secure bookings and fill up their calendars.
He said, “New strategies need to be considered to make yachts stand out from the crowd. The Diamond Collection, a new initiative launched in May, was very well received and it seems that offering exceptional levels of service is definitely the key to gaining a reputation as a successful charter yacht.”
