Royal Huisman have used the week of the Monaco Yacht Showto announce the signing of two new orders for significant sailing yachts.
Yard Number 392 will be a classical looking copy of a 46 metre plumb bowed pilot ketch from the drawing board of Andre Hoek.
Optimised for performance, her long waterline, lifting keel with trim tab and carbon spade rudder are complemented by a powerful, fully-roached sail plan supported by a complete carbon fibre rig package.
Delivery is set for 2014 with YCO looking after the project in build.
Order number two is for the slightly larger sloop and is yet another classic from Hoek. The 48 metre Project 393 is being built for an owner who wants to enjoy both racing and cruising.
The interior of the yacht will be designed by Rhoades Young.
MCM of Newport will look after the project while in build but the press release issued by Husiman fails to quote a delivery date.
