In a deal worth £4.2 million, Camper & Nicholsons Marinas has joined with the Chinese direct investment company First Eastern Investment Group to develop the marina sector in a Joint Venture throughout China and Asia.
Camper & Nicholsons Marinas has recently designed four marinas in China, and is working on several other projects, which include long term management agreements, in what has become the world’s largest growth market for marina development and operation.
The Joint Venture will be called Camper & Nicholsons First Eastern, and will open a Hong Kong office with Mandarin-speaking staff.
Representative offices will also be established in Beijing and Shanghai.
To facilitate this development Camper & Nicholsons Marinas has appointed James Beaver as its Chief Operating Officer.
Nick Maris, already CEO of C&N Marinas, becomes CEO of the Joint Venture, which will be chaired by Victor Chu, Chairman of First Eastern.
