Adding Stablisers Two IYC Refits

Follow the sun or find a yard could be the mantra for the winter season for a superyacht.  Two IYC charter yachts that decided the later idea was best were Anna J, a Palmer Johnson 120’ built in 2000 and Audacia, 46m Feadship.  The refit of Anna J has actually been a twelve month affair and cost 1.5 million euros.

It has included a complete interior remake, mechanical overhaul, hydraulic swim platform, addition of a chase boat and the installation of zero speed stabilisers.

Normally based in the south of France, she will be going to Croatia next summer.  Her charter rate is from €66,500pw. Audacia had her interior refitted in 2007, her sun deck worked on in 2008 and she is spending this winter in Cornwall, at Pendennis, undergoing yet more work to make her even more beautiful.

This latest phase includes an additional 2.7m extension and a dual staircase to her stern plus those zero speed stabilisers. She sleeps 12 guests and will be ready again for charter in the Mediterranean this summer for €160,000pw
