As shipyards cut back the number of production yachts in build and distressed deals leave the market, sales brokers at Camper & Nicholsons International believe that the reduction in the supply of 24m to 40m production yachts will most likely see prices firming up over the coming year.
November saw Mike Payne welcome the 34.8m Osprey to CNI’s listings. Built by Hugh McLean & Sons in 1953, she is constructed from double diagonal mahogany planking fixed to aluminium frames – her superstructure is largely hardwood framed. She had a swim platform added in 2005/06 and has an asking price of €1,900,000.
Earlier on in November Gaston Lees Buckley welcomed the 24.42m sailing yacht Elettra to the fleet. Built at the Perini Navi yard in 1987, her asking price is €2,300,000.
Fernando Nicholson welcomed the 24.38m Rosso to the sales fleet. Built by Overmarine Mangusta in 2002, she has been meticulously maintained and is in perfect condition. Lying in Florida, her asking price is US$1,850,000. She is not for sale to US Residents whilst in US waters.
Arne Ploch announced that the 20.6m Proteus joined the sales fleet in November. Built in 2008 by Oyster Yachts, Proteus is a powerful performance cruising sloop with an exceptional finish throughout. Lying in Spain, she has an asking price of €2,500,000.
