Superyacht Project Florida becomes Baton Rouge

Icon Yachts has launched the second of three superyachts.  Built as Project Florida, a 62.5m (205ft) motoryacht, the yacht has been named Baton Rouge and will be managed by Burgess Yachts who are expecting to have her on show at the Monaco Yacht Show in September of this year.
The exterior design of the new yacht is by Tim Heywood with interiors by Redman Whiteley Dixon.
During the recent HISWA Yacht Valley Tour the Harlingen based superyacht builder explained changes in which they have consolidated internal management. Wim Koersvelt was described as having stepped down and will relinquish his day-to-day involvement with the management team.
Jen Wartena, a co-director since the yard began, has been appointed as general manager while Stephan Vitus becomes responsible for new project development.  Koersvelt is said to be working with the yard in an advisory capacity but Stephan Vitus confirmed that he was seldom at the yard
Icon Yachts specialises in modular yacht construction and currently has a third 62.5m yachts in build that is scheduled for delivery in 2011.  The company recently began work to complete the 42 metre sistership to Catwalk which was left uncompleted when the build yard in Germany ceased work on it.
