It is a sad fact of superyacht life that not every project meets with success.
Such is the demise of YachtPlus an ambitious plan to build 10 identical yachts and through a fractional ownership plan make them available at locations throughout the world.
The first yacht built has achieved some of that dream even if not the entire concept. Sold out of the timeshare scheme she has been snapped up by a discerning owner who has shipped her off to Asia where she has embarked on what looks like being a promising career in South Asian destination charters.
Only three yachts were ever completed and Ocean Emerald is now sailing the waters of South Asia with a fresh new and vastly improved interior an array of superyacht toys and a knowledge able crew of 11 to pamper up to 12 guests.
We joined Ocean Emerald in Langkawi where she anchored off the beach of the Four Seasons resort.
From there we sailed in her on a voyage northwards visiting the islands that lie off shore in Thailand’s Anadaman Sea.
