Fiji’s growth as a superyacht cruising destination has received a boost after Port Denarau Marina won the category of “International Marina of the Year” at the MIA Awards Dinner on the Gold Coast in Australia.
Only 20 minutes drive from Nadi International Airport, the marina lies at the heart of the integrated Denarau Island Resort, Port Denarau Marina and is the gateway to exploring the sun drenched tropical isles of Fiji’s West Coast.
The marina, well protected from all weathers, is located on Denarau Island and is accessed through a well marked channel that is 5 metres deep at zero tide.
The basin contains 63 commercial and 52 fully serviced private berths and 14 swing moorings including 14 berths capable of taking Superyachts up to 85 metres in length with 5 metres draft.
Fuel, water, single and three phase power and wifi are all available at the dock.
The complex contains a 50 tonne travel lift, a hard stand area and marine workshops.
Provisioning is easy – with a supermarket, pharmacy and bakery at the end of the dock and Nadi and Namaka only a short bus or taxi ride away.
The marina is walking distance to several international hotels, offering many recreational pursuits including an international 18 hole golf course.
