Solent Refit, the UK’s South Coast superyacht refit centre reports expanded activity with two major refits successfully completed this summer. These include the 34 m Sudami a 273 tonne motor yacht managed by Fraser Yachts. She was re-launched on the yard’s horizontal lift.
Babylon was also comprehensively refitted and relaunched. Final arrangements are now being made for the arrival of two 35m+ vessels whose names are undisclosed at this time as well as the 38 metre yacht Moonbeam, for winter refit.
But perhaps the yards most exciting new project is the arrival of Lady K II from Marseilles. Formerly Princess Tanya and one time flag ship of the Liveras Yachts fleet, this 62 metre (205 ft) ship with a displacement of 810 tonnes was recovered after a number of years of neglect in France.
The long term plan is to fully refit her bringing her up to the highest modern superyacht standards.
