Who is she?
Lars a 36m expedition yacht, built to Bureau Veritas and Norwegian ice class. She was conceived as the ultimate tugboat in 1995 by an owner who wanted also to use her for long distance pleasure cruising. Never finished, her present owner brought her in 2010 and she as just finished being refitted by Stemat Marines Services in the Netherlands.
Where is she chartering?
She is now on her way to Spitsbergen and will return from her maiden voyage not later than the end of August. She will be available for private charter in September on the west coast of Greenland and for cruising Iceland and the Norwegian west coast. For those who like cruising the Arctic in comfort this is a unique opportunity
Why is she special?
Lars was delivered to her present owner in 2012, having been converted to a luxurious ice class yacht with the help of Felix Buytendijk Yacht Design and now accommodates 6-8 guests and managed by 4-5 crew. She carries two large tenders and her luxury accommodation cromprises of a very spacious master cabin with double bed and 2-3 twin cabins for guests.
