Cruise fans and ship spotters can mark their calendars for a historic maritime event.
Cunard has confirmed that all four of its cruise ships will gather in Liverpool during May 2028.
The rare event will see Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria, and Queen Anne unite on the River Mersey.
The fleet gathering will take place on 16 May 2028. It marks the first time all four Queens have assembled together.
Liverpool to Host Cunard’s Historic Four Queens Event
Liverpool holds special significance for Cunard.
The company began operations in 1840 in the city. Therefore, the Mersey gathering carries strong historical importance.
Cruise enthusiasts will enjoy a rare opportunity to see the entire Cunard fleet in one location.
The last major Cunard gathering happened in 2015. At that time, three Queens visited Liverpool to celebrate the company’s 175th anniversary.

More than one million spectators watched that event along the waterfront.
Organisers expect the 2028 celebration to attract large crowds and international attention.
Liverpool plans to host a major waterfront celebration as the ships arrive together.
Queen Mary 2 to Complete Historic Liverpool Arrival
The event also creates a milestone for Queen Mary 2.
The flagship will arrive directly from New York City during a transatlantic crossing.
This voyage marks the ship’s first direct eastbound crossing from New York to Liverpool.
It also represents Cunard’s first eastbound arrival from New York to Liverpool in more than six decades.
The last such arrival occurred in 1966 when the RMS Sylvania berthed at Princes Landing Stage.
Liverpool Celebrates Culture and Maritime Heritage
The Four Queens gathering aligns with Liverpool’s cultural celebrations.
In 2028, the city marks 20 years since becoming the European Capital of Culture.
Liverpool plans a year-long calendar of music, maritime, and sporting events.
The Cunard fleet reunion will form a major highlight within those celebrations.
Katie McAlister, President of Cunard, described the occasion as a powerful tribute to Liverpool’s connection with the cruise line.
She said the fleet reunion would create a memorable day for guests, residents, and visitors.

Liam Robinson, Leader of Liverpool City Council, said the city takes pride in its maritime heritage.
He added that Liverpool looks forward to welcoming visitors for a landmark year of events.
Why the Gathering Matters
The 2028 gathering combines maritime history, cruise heritage, and tourism appeal.
It also offers ship enthusiasts a rare chance to view all four Cunard Queens together.
