Royal Clipper Sets Sail for the Spotlight

Royal Clipper, the world’s largest full-rigged tall ship, is preparing to make her television debut. She will star in Channel 4’s new six-part luxury travel series Inside The World’s Most Luxurious…, airing Monday, 17th November at 8pm.

This marks the first time a UK-based production company has filmed aboard the legendary sailing vessel. The episode will offer rare behind-the-scenes access to life on board one of the most elegant ships at sea.

A New Chapter in Luxury Storytelling

Produced by Crackit Productions, the series explores some of the world’s most exclusive lifestyle experiences. Each 60-minute episode focuses on a different area of luxury — from yachts to hotels — revealing the design, craftsmanship, and logistics behind ultimate indulgence.

The Royal Clipper segment forms part of Inside The World’s Most Luxurious Cruises. Filming follows both guests and crew as they sail from Venice towards Croatia and Montenegro, capturing every detail of this extraordinary voyage.

Behind the Camera: Life at Sea

During filming, Rosanna Ivkovic, UK PR & Communications Manager for Star Clippers, joined the crew and production team. Together, they recorded passenger stories, guided tours, and scenes showing the ship’s daily life under full sail.

Viewers can expect spectacular footage — from majestic mast climbs to breathtaking Adriatic sunsets — offering an intimate look at what makes Royal Clipper so exceptional.

Why Royal Clipper Stood Out

Simon Withington, Series Editor at Crackit TV, explained why the ship was a perfect fit for the series.

“It was clear that Star Clippers offered something unique in the luxury market,” he said. “The elegance and old-school grandeur of Royal Clipper contrast beautifully with modern cruise ships. Once I saw guests climbing the mast, I knew we had something truly cinematic.”
