Vitruvius Yacht Design Expands

Vitruvius Yacht Design has expanded opening new offices in Italy to erve the Italian yachting industry.

The company has created a new subsidiary.  It is aimed at enhancing engagement and offering specialised services within the Italian yacht industry.

By establishing this localised presence, the company aims to cater more effectively to the distinguished Italian yachting community. It will offer bespoke design solutions that integrate advanced technology and sustainable practices.

Offices in Italy

Philippe Briand is the founder of Vitruvius Yachts.  He said, “We are thrilled to open offices in Italy.  It represents our dedication to innovation and excellence in yacht design tailored to the specific needs of the Italian market.  Italy has a profound heritage in yachting, and we look forward to contributing to and growing within this inspiring environment.”

The Italian team is composed of talented designers and project managers.  They have deep expertise in yacht design and construction, benefiting from the skills and knowledge of our entire company structure. Including company offices in the UK and France.

Team leader

Leading the team is Michele Baccetti, a talented designer with extensive experience in the design and project management of large yachts. He said, “We’re very excited about this opening. We have to our credit collaborations with major Italian companies. Today, we aim to serve this market even better. Our intention is to provide increasingly dedicated services to yacht builders. Supporting their technical offices and offering their design centres the expertise of a group with extensive experience in both sailing and motor yachts. Particularly in constructions using both metal and composite materials.”

Since its foundation Vitruvius Yachts has collaborated with prestigious builders for the creation of multi-awarded motor yachts. Such as the 65m Alchemy built by Rossi Navi, the 55 m Shinkai and the 58m Najiba. Both were realised in the sheds of Feadship. These were on top of 3 Picchiotti branded explorers. The first was the 50m Exuma. The second the 55m ice-class Galileo G and lastly the 73m Grace E.  Among the projects under way, the first to be launched will be the 52m motor yacht under construction at Tankoa Yachts. That will be followed by a 50 m presently under completion at Alia Yachts.
