Five ships to cruise the Mississippi River

Five different river cruise ships operated by American Cruise Lines sail the Mississippi River offering 12+ itineraries all year-round.

American Cruise Lines’ Mississippi season officially opens on February 21st aboard the award-winning American Serenade.   She sails a classic 9-Day Lower Mississippi River Cruise from New Orleans, LA to Memphis, TN.

Of the five new itineraries for 2025, one is the brand new 12-Day Mississippi Explorer Cruise.  It runs from Memphis to New Orleans.

Other ships in in the five strong fleet offer several exclusive itineraries on the Tennessee, Cumberland, and Ohio Rivers.  These include a new 16-Day Grand Ohio River Cruise from Pittsburgh to St. Louis.

Explore the Mississippi

Mississippi offerings also showcase two of the longest U.S. River cruises on the market. The first is a new 51-Day Great United States Cruise.  A second offers a 36-Day Civil War Battlefields Cruise. These Extended Cruises sail the entire Mississippi or major sections of the River in addition to other U.S. waterways.
