Created in 2018 by superyacht crew representative body ACREW, the Superyacht Crew Awards celebrate excellence in the superyacht industry, and reward captains and crew for outstanding achievements and dedication.
This year, the awards will bring together over 500 captains, crew and professionals from Porto Montenegro and other marinas in the Adriatic and the wider Mediterranean.
After a three-year partnership with ACREW, the awards will take place between 14th and 16th October 2022, in Porto Montenegro, located on the UNESCO protected Bay of Kotor.
Last year, Porto Montenegro was one of the official Gold Sponsor of ACREW and presented with the prestigious award of ‘World Best Superyacht Marina,’ following their win of ACREW’s Adriatic’s ‘Best Superyacht Marina’ in 2020.
The Crew Awards 2022 encompasses 20 award categories, which recognise superyacht crew members for professional excellence and personal achievements, who have proven to be the very best in the industry across all onboard departments. The judging panel is comprised of former and current senior superyacht captains and crew who are highly valued in the yachting community.
This year’s event will have a royal theme, ‘a Regal weekend away and a Knight to Remember’. Superyacht captains, crew, the awards nominees, and finalists will be invited to attend a weekend full of activities in the Mediterranean’s luxury marina village.
ACREW has invited all superyacht crew and captains to participate in the 2022 Crew Awards. The nomination phase opened on 1st February and will end on 18th April 2022. The nominations categories range from ‘Best Charter Yacht Crew’ to ‘Best Deck Award’ and even ‘Best Chef Award’.
Voting will close on 6th June and the finalists will be announced on the ACREW website on 10th June. The three finalists per category will be judged via video interviews by the panel ahead of the main event on 14th – 16th October, where the overall winners will be announced during the ceremony.
In honour of the awards, ACREW and Porto Montenegro have partnered with hotels in Montenegro, including The Regent, La Roche and Helada.
In addition, ACREW and Porto Montenegro have organised a charter flight from Barcelona. There is a selection of packages available for captains and crew to choose from that are currently available to purchase directly on the ACREW website.
