Azimuth and Almanac are nautical terms but not necessarily naughty in the seductive sense! But for those Superyacht crews tucked away wintering in Barcelona over winter seeking a little bit of pampering over Valentines day here is a seductive offer
Barcelona is a seductive city. Even in February, couples can stroll along the sunny beaches of Barceloneta before enjoying a cocktail at one of the many bars tucked down the lamplit cobblestone streets.
Almanac Barcelona opened in the Catalan capital’s Eixample district in 2018, just steps from the posh shopping boulevard of Passeig de Gracia.
Romantic place
The hotel is the ideal romantic place to post up for Valentine’s Day weekend. The rooms’ large bay windows with built-in seating create a snug nook where couples can gaze over the busy Gran Via de les Cortes Catalanes. The rooftop bar, called Azimuth, is open year-round and has comfy lounges and knit blankets where guests can cozy up with a hot toddy in front of La Sagrada Familia.
Almanac Barcelona has dreamed up a special package for superyacht crew over Valentine’s Day. By booking ‘A Love Letter to Barcelona’ couples can enjoy a three-night stay in an Almanac suite from Friday, February 14 through Monday, February 17. The package includes two tickets to the Picasso Poeta exhibition at the Picasso Museum, which closes just two weeks later.
The exhibit showcases the importance of poetic writings in Picasso’s creative process and reveals the historical context and the complex personality of the artist. Guests will also enjoy a walking tour of the Gothic Quarter, the former stomping grounds of literary legends like Hemingway and Orwell and home to some of the most romantic spots in Barcelona like the 14th-century Santa Maria del Pi church and bell tower, which is one of the stops on the tour.
Dinner for two at the hotel’s newly opened restaurant VIRENS and a couple’s spa treatment are also included. Package starts at €2,290.
