The resort hotel known as South Point in Falmouth Antigua graciously showed us around their property and then hosted us to dinner at their widely acclaimed Maia restaurant.
Set on a deck suspended over the water, and overlooking the Superyachts berthed on Antigua Yacht Club marina it provides a tranquil spot from which to watch and enjoy superyachts.
We are here in Antigua covering the Antigua Yacht Charter Show for Superyacht Radio and the various yachting and lifestyle magazines who publish our travels and were invited to dinner by the hotels owner.
Serving Asian, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, the restaurant was a delight. Food was well presented and very tasty. Clearly only the freshest of ingredients were served and most of them are locally sourced, The ambience was calm and sophisticated and despite being crowded with yacht brokers and their guests it was easy to carry on a conversation
