Fraser, part of the Azimut-Benetti Group, is the largest luxury yacht service provider in the world. It has over 160 employees and 20 offices around the globe.
Little wonder they can pull off impressive figures when they want to. But selling 9 superyachts inside 3 weeks is quite a feat nevertheless.
The Azimut-Benetti Group is the largest manufacturer of luxury yachts and the world’s largest private group in the yachting sector. Within that group the services offered by Fraser include yacht sales, charter, yacht management, crew and construction. The company specialises in yachts over 30m.
Nine yachts sold
Of the nine yachts sold within the past three weeks the crowning sale was that of Areti by broker Stuart Larsen. At 85 metres she is the 3rd largest yacht sold this year and was only on the market for just under nine months.
Launched in 2017 by Lurssen with design by Winch, Areti affords a combination of functionality, performance and comfort.
The sales closed by Fraser exemplify a wide range of builders, vessel sizes and hull types.
For example, the 32 metre Whitehawk, built by O’Lie Neilsen in 1978 and refitted in 2016, was sold by Georges Bourgoignie.
Innovative and visually striking the 26 metre Kanga was built by Wally Yachts in 2012 and sold by Alexander Vaal.
The 36 metre high-performance sailing sloop Sovereign Sea, was built by Alloy Yachts in 1995 and sold by Georges Bourgoignie.
Built in 2007 by Golden Yachts, the 52 metre motoryacht Victory was sold through an in-house deal by Vassilis Fotilas.
Built by Heesen, the 39 metre Lady Azul was sold by Jan Jaap Minnema. He was also the broker who sold the 67m Golden Shadow a yacht that had been on the market for just five months.
Yacht number eight was the 34 metre Ira built by Sunseeker the UK during 2011. She was sold by David Legrand.
Finally, the 30 metre sailing yacht Blue Papillon II was sold by Dennis Frederiksen.
Sub 30 metres
In addition to these nine sales, Fraser also closed two sub 30 metre deals through its San Diego office in the same time period. The 10.3m Regulator Chasin Tail was purchased by a longtime client of Patrick McConnell for use as a tow-behind tender. John Gladstone sold the 16.8m Hinckley Solutions.
